Wordimatic Announcements publishes site-wide banners for the notices a public site needs to carry for a while: a maintenance window, a closure, a policy change. Each announcement takes a severity level and an optional expiry date, after which it stops rendering on its own.
The banner is rendered server-side on wp_body_open. Visitors can dismiss it, and the dismissal is remembered per visitor by the plugin’s own small deferred script, the only front-end JavaScript this plugin ships. Multiple announcements can be active at once; each renders and dismisses independently.
