Wordimatic News adds a dedicated News post type so announcements and press items live apart from the blog. Entries take categories, and a featured flag (shown as a column in the admin list) marks the items that should lead a page.

The News Grid block renders those entries server-side, so a news page needs no custom template and no front-end JavaScript. The block is designed for the Custom Site Kit’s pattern library and style tokens; the post type itself works with any block theme.

How it works

Three steps to up and running

1

Write news posts

Use the News post type exactly like Posts — categorise them and flag the ones that should lead.

2

Drop in the block

Add the News Grid block anywhere in the editor; it renders server-side, so it always reflects current content with no client-side fetch.
